Acoustic insulating materials serve the purpose of reducing
reverberations and
noises to a minimum, transforming
sound energy into heat.
In order to achieve this result, it is necessary to use
lightweight materials, of low density and with open porous cells or fibres, which may be
porous, vibrant, acoustic and mixed, which are capable of absorbing rebounding sound waves.
Tecnoacustica provides two highly-efficient acoustic insulation product lines which are suitable for
residential, workplace or public buildings and comply with the DPCM 05/12/97 standard, which establishes the minimum passive acoustic requirements for buildings.
The acoustic insulation products of the
ALFASTOP line consist in sound absorbing panels made up of:
- Recycled open-cell elastomers (NBR)
- Heat-moulded recycled polyester fibre (POL)
- Elastic melamine resin (MEL)
The presence of
open cells and
high fibrosity guarantee the necessary characteristics, even allowing for the products to be employed for more critical acoustic insulation issues, such as the noise caused by air traffic.
The design is also extremely refined, as the panels may have smooth surfaces, have ashlar or pyramid finishings or may otherwise be combined with other products
The acoustic insulation products of the ISOLTES line, on the other hand, are an assortment of high-density elastic insulating felts made from polyester, which are obtained through a special patented TNT weaving process in order to produce both rolls as well as panels.
Acoustic insulation materials are especially useful in construction sites due to their specific requirements:
- Acoustic insulation against the noise produced by impacts
- High compression resistance (it is therefore not necessary to reinforce the layer above the felt in order to distribute the load)
- Mechanical resistance to wear and tear
- Dynamic stiffness: acts as a vibration damping system which is especially suitable for floating floor systems
