effective and competitive solutions. Bad weather, especially rain, can represent a serious problem for residential structures and worksites if they are not equipped with a suitable means for dealing with it.
Suitable waterproofing materials perform the essential function of preventing water infiltrations within buildings. The
roof is that which runs the greatest risk, as it is subjected to the action of rain or snow to a greater degree than the other elements of the building. The
foundation, however, is also at risk as it must face the threat of rising water infiltrations.
For this purpose,
natural insulation materials with high breathability are used to prevent the formation of even interstitial condensation, as prescribed by the relative standard, the DL192/05.
In order to meet this need, Tecnoacustica has a range of breathable-waterproof and vapour-resistant coverings available, which are produced by coupling two or more layers of polypropylene, of different weights, made from micro-porous materials which can take on
breathable-waterproof (TS) or vapour resistant (VAP) properties.
The waterproof coverings offered by Tecnoacustica can replace traditional systems of bituminous materials or chemical synthesis materials on sloping roofs, and are therefore also an
environmentally friendly solution.
Installing waterproof coverings is quick and easy. They are especially suitable for roofs made from wood and from cement-masonry, whether ventilated or not. The covering must be placed on the cloth or else upon special wooden slats and secured with either nails or glue.
The vapour-resistant coverings allow for vapour to pass properly, thereby preventing
condensation effects. Their special structure has been designed to prevent
tears or abrasions and to effectively defend against bad weather. T
